A fun story about the print:

I took the reference photo of this print over a decade ago, not even knowing the name of it or the owner. I carved this print a few months ago, challenging myself to work from a real reference photo rather than conjuring up a creatively-drafted design. I posted a few videos and photos of this print on my Instagram and after a little while, the previous owner recognized the boat and reached out in the comments! I couldn’t believe that she was also a Haines resident, so we got to meet and she was able to buy the last print at one of my last markets in town. After that, she was able to connect me with the current owner and her lovely friends, and I was able to send a few fresh prints - now named “MIJ - Baranof Warm Springs” after learning this beautiful vessel’s title - to them! Alaska truly is just a small town.
