“Misfit” - a person who does not conform to societal norms; may have unique perspectives, unconventional interests, and often feels misunderstood
Creating art for others is a vulnerable experience. Your art may not be everyone’s cup of tea. But after years of experimenting with other mediums, I finally found my niche: printmaking. Starting with a single lino cutter, a small rubber pad, and a tube of ink, I turned this peculiar hobby into a labor of love.
Each piece is unique since I hand-carve and hand-stamp each and every item myself. The way the ink transfers varies from print to print, revealing the human behind the art.
A large portion of my garments are found second-hand and up-cycled. I believe in investing in the clothing you buy, and minimizing waste. This is why I choose to transform ordinary pieces into small works of art, something to cherish for generations.
I look forward to creating more artwork inspired by nature, community, small joys, and my fellow Alaskan misfits. Thank you for supporting a small business!
